Fresh, new and alive Gallery 360 launches into spring with a series of expressive painting abstractions by Colorado based artist, Barbara Gilhooly in an exhibition entitled, “Where Order Meets Chaos”. This animated new collection of paintings takes the viewer on a visual foray through the innerworkings of Gilhooly’s pictographic design sense. Each piece is highly patterned and illustrates a pictorial language unique to Gilhooly through gestural markings, graphic effects, interesting underpainting, and heavily layered surfaces. A highly lyrical series heavy in emotive expression and intuitive playfulness that stays true to the in-the-moment act of creating.
