Prepare to travel up, up and away with our latest exhibition of fanciful figurative paintings by the one and only Shawna Gilmore. This feast for the imagination takes the viewer on a surrealist journey through the always unexpected world of this popular talent. Uni-cycling bears, tightrope walkers and a mirage of human and animal interplay combine to create a fantastical array of dreamlike paintings. In true Gilmore style, each masterful work is impeccably painted in rich oil pigments, and in some cases glow in the dark paint is layered to accentuate the celestial skies. Figures are profiled in a stylized retro-inspired era, which adds to the overall quirkiness of the series. An adventurous exhibition ready to blast audiences into the spring stratosphere.
